This non-sized closer can be set from size 1 through 6, with the unit preset to size 3 at the factory. Suitable for door weights ranging from 40 to 240 pounds, the 8500 closer is a barrier-free solution engineered with reduced spring power to provide easier opening for handicapped or elderly users.

Measuring 12-3/4" in length, the 8500 series closer is ANSI 156.4 Grade 1 and UL listed for fire door assemblies. It uses the same hole pattern as the Norton 8501 and 8301 door closers, making it a perfect direct replacement. The closer also fits Yale 3301 and 3501 models.
